nor has my ma or my grandmama
nor has my pa or my grandpapa
friends and family on a video screen
i can't tell if they know what i mean
dishes in the sink and a bottle on the table
and it's taking me more to keep centred and stable
these weekends feel like they will never end

i lose my bearings when i look at the world
it's a jigsaw puzzle missing pieces
today feels normal but it's not what you think
normal has a new meaning since the civilized brink
weeks and months of solitude
