lyrics

have you ever seen a day like this before
the old tree roots uplifting from the soil
the sky looks the same but things feel awful strange
friday, march 13 will bring a change

i'm a grown up man of almost 34
i've never seen a day like this before
nor has my ma or my grandmama
nor has my pa or my grandpapa

friends and family on a video screen
i can't tell if they know what i mean
dishes in the sink and a bottle on the table
and it's taking me more to keep centred and stable

these weekends feel like they will never end
is it quarter to two or quarter to ten?
i lose my bearings when i look at the world
it's a jigsaw puzzle missing pieces

today feels normal but it's not what you think
normal has a new meaning since the civilized brink
weeks and months of solitude
melted minutes stuck together like
